At the conference

We look forward to welcoming you to the NICE Annual Conference on 26 June in Manchester.

This webpage provides you with all you need to know about the event, including venue information, programme, floor plan, speaker biographies, twitter information and how to submit questions to the speakers.


Conference information

Registration will be open from 08:00 in the Deansgate Foyer. Refreshments will be available on arrival. Registration is located on the first floor and there will be access to a cloakroom.

Wi-fi access

There is free wi-fi at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel, please connect to hhonors. You will not need a password to join this network.


Submitting questions during the conference

We will be using an online system called to facilitate any questions in main plenaries and breakout sessions.

To ask a question, please go to and type in event code #NICEConf18

On the top right-hand side, select the room that is hosting your session. The chair will confirm this at the beginning of the Q&A. You will then be able to type your question and submit it to be reviewed.

We will also have a roving microphone in each room if you would prefer to ask a question from the floor.

Please be aware that questions will be moderated before being submitted to each panel.



We’ll be tweeting in the run-up to, during and after the event. Straight after the conference join us on Twitter at 17:45 – 18:30 to discuss the challenges of implementing NICE guidance.

Breakout Sessions

After the morning coffee break, we will be running parallel breakout sessions.

You should have selected the breakout sessions you will be attending during the registration process. Some of the sessions are fully booked, so if you would like to change the breakouts you are attending, please check with registration if there is availability. If you are unsure on which breakout sessions you are attending, please ask our registration team.

Please ensure that you wear your badge at all times. Your badge indicates any fully booked sessions you have booked to attend and Room Managers will be present at the entrance to these sessions to check your badge.


Photography and film

An official conference photographer will take photos of speakers and delegates throughout the duration of the conference. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform us on arrival at the conference. A short video is also being made to capture the highlights of the conference, similarly if you do not wish to be filmed please let a member of the conference team know.  


Pre-conference networking reception and Shared Learning awards

The pre-conference networking reception and Shared Learning Awards will take place the evening prior to the conference, on Monday 25 June in the Iris bar, next to Cloud 23 at the conference venue. The reception has reached full capacity and we will be contacting people on the waiting list if and when spaces become available. If you have been allocated a space at this reception and are no longer able to attend, please let the event manager, Kirsten Scully (, know so we can allocate the place to another attendee.
